Sheck this shot of shuttle from air

Those are really cool, thanks! It threw me for a moment because the latest launch was at night, but then I noticed the date on the pictures as being from September (not the Dec. launch). Anyway, really interesting to see the pics since we were just at the last launch and it really is an amazing sight!

I thought about you when i got this from a friend. I thought you might have been there. I really did not notice date at first.

Yes, we were there, and I cannot begin to describe how amazing it was! Our friend (another OSU grad) was the pilot and invited us, so it was especially exciting.

I was lucky enough to get to see Mtngrls photos of the Launch. OMG! and when I asked about the sound , when looking at the %26#39;funnel'; cloud that it makes as it goes up, like a huge star, she said that the ground shook and it was very loud.

I cannot imagine how exciting it must have been to be there.

And to have a friend be in that shuttle!

That%26#39;s right, I almost forgot, I shared those pics with you this week, lol!

Yes, everything shook and it felt sort of like an earthquake. Course right after we had to hurry to the bus as the hydrochloric acid came down on us, lol!

LOL, I m sure it was not punishment to go to Florida at this time of year either!

How were the hotels ?

Well, it was dang cold when we were there! At least when we were over at Cocoa it was still warm enough to swim and hang out on the beach, but when we were in Orlando it was freezing!!!

The Hilton at Cocoa Beach...ehhhh...typical business class hotel, but we had an oceanfront room. Bathroom could have used some work, but the beds were great.

Boardwalk Inn at Disney was fantastic! Best location...less than a 5 minute walk into the back gate of Epcot, and the entire boardwalk area was so much fun. Great restaurants all right there, surrey bikes, you name it. The hotel itself was beautiful and our room was quite large with a nice little balcony. We sat out there in the mornings to have breakfast. With jackets on though, lol!
