I lived in Chico from 1983 to the middle of 1988. I went there for school but fell in love with the town and thought I would live there the rest of my life but then I couldn%26#39;t find a decent job. There are a lot of overeducated pizza makers or at least there were in the 80%26#39;s. I made it through 2 years living at the ';zoo'; - It was not pretty. I remember how hot the summers were and only having a bike for transportation. Enjoyed tubing on the Sac River and even Butte Creek. And there is nothing like doing a float /hike in upper Bidwell Park.

Very cool! I graduated in 82 (moved there in 78) and lived there til last summer! Yep, the summers are HOT. And the Zoo is still, a zoo. I have two daughters at Chico state....I don%26#39;t really wanna know what goes on! Well, it was a much smaller town in the early 80%26#39;s so we probably crossed paths.
