Ocean Haven

My husband and I are looking for a place to stay on the Oregon coast for 3 nights in August. We want to stay someplace where we can explore up and down the coast, so have been looking around Florence. I came across Ocean Haven just out of Yachats and it sounds wonderful - it is just the kind of place we were looking for. Then I read the reviews on Trip Advisor. Most are good, but evidently these people have a lot of rules and have had some disputes with money. Does anybody know about this place? Or any other suggestions? Thanks.

Don%26#39;t know anything about the owners or how they opperate, but it%26#39;s in a GREAT location and looks to be clean and fairly modern.

The Shamrock sits right next door and may be another option for you as well.

I don%26#39;t know about Ocean Haven but the Overleaf Lodge in Yachats is a favorite of ours. My husband and I last visited there in March of 2006 and stayed in an oceanfront room with jacuzzi overlooking the beach - fantastic!

My husband and I stayed at Ocean Haven in July 2004 and really enjoyed the view from our room, the beach, and the location. They do have rules to abide by (which does take some getting used to) but they have their reasons for doing so. We encountered no problems with billing - Bill was quite accommodating. I have read the reviews about the money dispute also which is worrisome. But when we visited in 2004, things were great. Good luck and let me know what you decided upon!
