I grew up in Portland, and went to see the Rocky Horror Picture Show when I was about 16 (1980-ish). I remember it as being fairly PG-13; a little risque, but basically good natured, mildly sexual fun. I%26#39;m going back to visit family next month, and my 14 year old daughter mentioned that she%26#39;d like to see the movie.
My brother, who still lives in Portland, says that the on-stage actors have gotten much more adult in the past 25 years. He says it%26#39;s gone from PG-13 to NC-17, and that he didn%26#39;t think it would be appropriate for high schoolers any more.
Anyone out there who%26#39;s been to the Clinton Street Theater recently? Comments??
Rocky Horror
I haven%26#39;t been since 2005, but I remember it being more mild than wild. Lots of profanity, of course, but certainly no nudity. They still throw hot dogs, of course. Can%26#39;t be any worse than your average episode of ';According to Jim,'; except you probably won%26#39;t throw up at Rocky Horror. By the way, what did you have to do at the devirginizing ceremony?
Rocky Horror
It%26#39;s been so long, I honestly don%26#39;t remember the details. I actually went with the National Honor Society Club from Grant High School, and just recall it being a lot of fun (or, at least, as much fun as a bunch of nerdy, high-GPA types are gonna have after their first beer...). I know we threw toast and rice, and had newspapers and water guns, but after that - it%26#39;s all kind of a blur...
