Finding a Place to Live in Bend

My husband and I are also relocating to Bend, but our timeline is a bit more immediate - the end of this month (which we found out about 4 days ago). My husband and I desperately need some help on finding apartment listings. We are hoping to find a place to live for 6 months to get acclimated before looking to buy, but because of our short timeframe, we won%26#39;t be able to visit again before renting and are left to do everything online/over the phone. We can%26#39;t seem to find much info on the actual apartments online and people seem very rushed over the phone (and, for some reason, intent on pegging us as ';market researchers';). We are a little worried about finding a place to live, site-unseen, and not being to see a floor plan or photos or know the sq ft before sigining a lease! Any helpful hints or sites, please??

We%26#39;re really excited to be moving to Bend, relocating for a new job, but this isn%26#39;t helping the stress level :) Thanks!

Good luck with your move!

I have had good luck in the past with the listings in the local paper (bendbulletin.com). There aren%26#39;t as many apartments in Bend as you might expect. Many of the rentals are townhomes, condos, and single-family homes - usually managed by owner or by small, local management companies. One of the bigger ones in town is CPM (computerizedpropertymanagement.com/)
