Embassy Suites - 3 locations - which one to choose?

There are 3 hotels and I%26#39;m not sure which has the best location. 2 adults, 2 kids (4 and 7) so we would like SAFE #1, we are flying into Portland airport and vising family in WOodland, WA.

Advise would be helpful - thanks!!

Why stay in PDX? Why add all the mileage? Perhaps stay in Woodland itself or Vancouver, WA... you can go many interesting places from either city and avoid the traffic, especially rush hour, which is fairly lengthy.

I know - we%26#39;ve been going to Woodland for so many years now, we thought with the 2 kids, a larger city might do us some good. Woodland has so very little...thanks for the thought!

Smile! Understood now. Perhaps PDX folks can offer advice on the Embassy Suites or alternatives. I assume you have taken them to the Columbia River Gorge and the dams, perhaps Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge. Tough ages, sometimes best left to their own devices... Empathize with you. Good luck.

Embassy Suites is nice...

The young%26#39;uns can spread out a tiny bit which is always better than being cramped in a regular hotel room..

My favorite hotel in town is the Monaco(used to be 5th Ave Suites)..they have suites, in a good location, service is great..

Staying in most of the downtown hotels will be safe.

No no , not the airport hotel, I typo-ed!!

The one downtown is the one you want.. sorry :)

Monaco sounds interesting enough - pro%26#39;s and con%26#39;s vs. the Embassy?

I have stayed at the 5th Ave Suites about 30 nights in all, it is a very nice hotel. Nicer than the Embassy Suites..they are owned by Kimpton who are changing/have changed it over into a Monaco Hotel, which is basically, different decorating.

Very comfortable beds, sliding french doors between bedroom and living area, fridge, tv in bed area and living area, huge bathrooms.

Service is great, the Red Star Tavern is part of the building, we love that place! Great breakfasts! They are the source of Room Service :)

and the location is much better than the Embassy Suites.

Hope this helps :)

GREAT - sounds perfect! Going online now to book us a room...

THANKS.
